How we build our calculators

Every calculator shows the method it uses, so you can check the working. UK rates and thresholds live in one place and are reviewed each tax year against GOV.UK.

What our calculators are not

They're estimates for common situations, not personal advice. For complex tax, legal, financial or medical questions, speak to a qualified professional, HMRC, Citizens Advice or the NHS.
